Corn - not just on the cob

One more “green” idea. Are you aware that corn is also being used to make carpeting? It is a renewable source and creates a very soft, great-wearing carpet. We have samples of it at Hennen Furniture and it is worth a stop to see it. Keep thinking green and if you have any more suggestions/ideas, please respond to this post.

[…] Anyway, I saw another fresh “green” idea featured on Kathy’s blog: corn area rugs. If you are looking for a nice floor accent, go for area rugs that are made of this widely-produced crop. The United States is one of the largest producers of corn and surely, it has enough supply to provide adequate floor covering for your home.
